Building Supplies:

    Aircraft Spruce & Specialty Co.

    Wicks Aircraft Supplies

Engine Parts:

Since the O-290 I bought didn't include some key parts, I thought I would include the links to the vendors I used, or plan on using:

   E-Mag Electronic Magnetos

   Catto Propellers

Assembling a Lycoming Engine:

The Lycoming Engine Assembly link is a great primer on how to assemble a Lycoming direct drive engine.  The combination of this link and the Mattituck overhaul video were invaluable to me.  I HIGHLY recommend purchasing the Mattituck video if you are thinking of overhauling an engine yourself but have never done it before or are not sure if you can do it.  It is money well spent!

Tools:  (All home builders are tool-a-holics and I'm no exception!)

Van's lists links to many tool suppliers.  Below is a partial list of suppliers that I have used and have been very happy with.

    Aircraft Tool Supply Company

    Avery Tools

    Keystone Automotive

U.S. Industrial Tool & Supply Company

    Wholesale Tool Company

    Eastern Technology Corporation

Don't forget Lowe's and Home Depot.

Better yet, don't forget your locally owned and operated hardware store.

Other Links:

Here is a list of links to sites that might help builders in the construction of their plane.  This is not considered an endorsement of their products or services because I have done nothing more than look over their web sites.  Their links are listed because they offer something that caught my eye.

Aircraft Extras, Inc. - Flap positioning system w/ optional auto trim adjustment

Approach Systems, Inc. - Fast Stack wiring system

RV-6/7/9 Center Consoles - Automotive style center consoles with throttle quadrant.

Airplane Gear - LED Nav lights

Perihelion Design - Wig-Wag landing light flashers

SafeAir1 - Pitot and Static air lines

Strobes N' More - Strobe lights

   Fairings-Etc. - Fiberglass fairings
